For the last two Fridays, we have been making koru art, the black part of mine is dyed and the rest is pastels. Have you ever done koru art before? What colours did you use?

Mash-up
Covid-19 update
Can you believe that we are finally back at school? I feels great! I was so excited to come back to school and see my friends and teachers. This week we have been making stuff to put in a time capsule that will be opened in 40 years. We all wrote a letter and filled out a form that will go into the time capsule. What have you been doing on your first week back at school? Here is the letter for the time capsule.

Dear Future generation
My name is Zara, I am 11 years old,
I like art and I have 0 siblings, 1 dog and my Mum and Dad as my family,
On 25th March 2020, New Zealand went into lockdown because there was a virus that was spreading across the globe. People were dying and we wanted to flatten the curve. Our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern led the country to make it safe for everyone, It is now May the 18th and we have just emerged from lockdown, today is our first day back at school for 8 long weeks.
During lockdown I spent more time with my family than I normally would, I did lots of arts and crafts, whenever I went out in public I would have to stay 2 or more metres away from someone else that is not in my bubble. Your bubble is the family that you live in your house with. The only thing that was open was the supermarket, doctors and pharmacies, I could only go for walks and that was it. For some reason, everyone was hoarding toilet paper, flour, sugar and bottled water.
But there is one good side to all of this. World pollution and global warming have gone down, waterways have been clearer and some people in Venice have been able to see jellyfish in their waterways, that never happens. What is world pollution like now? I hope that in the future (now for you) that world pollution is as good as it is these days because then climate change will slow down and Venice and other countries will not sink.
What is the world like now? Have there been any other world pandemics? If so what was it like for you? Do you still use planes and cars? I hope that you don’t have to go through anything we did because it was horrible.
Kind regards,
Zara
What do you think about the global impact has been good? Do you think we should keep it up?

Chapter Summary
Today we did a chapter summary on chapters 7-10 in our book. Our book is a science fiction book called The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, so far I have found the book both confusing and interesting. Have you ever read The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy?
Here is my summary -
