The Southern Lights

Hey Bloggers,
Today we are making art with the southern lights. The Southern Lights ( also known as Aurora Australis ) is created by the sun and makes solar winds that travel at 750 kilometres per second, they the travel towards the earth and some of the wind breaks through the magnetic pole fields. This makes the oxygen collide with the solar wind to create The Southern Lights!

Have you ever made art to do with The Southern Lights?
Till next time!

  1. Hi Zara. It's Camryn from Rawhiti school.
I loved your post and did not know that they are created by the sun.
Maybe next time you could but a photo of the real ones and then the art that you have created.
I have not made art to do with the southern lights, but I would definitly like to some day.
